A billiards game that was part of WCG in 2009.
Carom 3D is a 3D billiards game that you can play online against other people. It is a freeware online sports simulation game that was released by NeoAct in 1999. The original programming was done by Korean schoolchildren in a project called ComWorm that was taken over by NeoAct. The jazz music is a little annoying, but the game is pretty good. It was good enough to feature in the World Cyber Games in 2009.
An Easy-To-Play Game
You are going to hear the Korean language quite a bit in the game. The avatars speak it and even though the written language is English, you are going to see and hear a lot of Korean stuff. Maybe the location of the company is the reason the servers are sometimes difficult and sometimes slow, but that may also be due to the amount of people that play the game. There are a lot of people in Asia that play the game, especially in Korea and Japan, though there are also a lot of Brazilian people playing too.
A Competitor For Cue Online
It is a 3D billiards game that offers online play. It is a lot easier than Cue Online, which is the only other mainstream and professionally-developed billiards game you can play online. The game models and avatars are pretty basic looking, and one weird thing is that if you want to play with a female avatar, then you have to pay for it.
See Where Your Ball Went
You can see tracers where your ball went, but there doesn’t seem to be much point to it besides what it offers as a visual effect. With that said, there is a projected ball line that shoots out from your cue before you take your shot, and it helps you figure out where and when to hit the ball. Maybe the tracer is so you can see what effect your hit had on the ball so that you can improve over time.
Get Better Stuff
The more games you win, then the more advanced and special the cues are that you can use. There does seem to be a small problem with instructions because they do not train you up very well. For example, if you are English speaking and want to know how to place the ball after the other player fouls, then good luck because the game won’t tell you.
